Common questions

How do I get started?

Open GEEKED OUT and start the 1-week free trial, or choose Monthly or Lifetime. With the trial you won't be charged until it ends, and we'll send a reminder before it does if you allow notifications. Cancel anytime before then and you won't be charged.

Where does what I make go?

Videos and photos are saved to Photos, in the GEEKED OUT album. Masters from Master the mix are saved to the Files app, wherever you choose, named with the artist and title you type in. Everything is also in the app's Library (the stack button at the top right of any tool), where you can open or share it again.

Can new versions appear at the top of Photos?

Yes. GEEKED OUT → Settings → Saving to Photos → At the top, as newest. The default, Next to the original, keeps a new version right beside the one it replaces.

Do Live Photos stay live when I make them smaller?

Yes. In Cut the weight, keep Keep Live Photos live on and both the photo and its motion are made smaller. Turn it off to keep just the photo, for the biggest saving.

Can I change the app icon?

GEEKED OUT → Settings → App icon: Light, Dark or Mono.

GEEKED OUT can't see my photos.

iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → GEEKED OUT → Full Access. With Limited Access, the app only sees the items you've shared with it.

I deleted originals by mistake.

Open Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted, select them, and tap Recover. iPhone keeps them there for 30 days.

The first captions or upscale took longer.

The first time, iPhone downloads the files it needs from Apple. It's a one-off, and it's quickest on Wi-Fi.

A lyric line is slightly out of time.

In Write the line, tap the line's time to jump there, then nudge it with + and −. Or use Tap-sync in the lines menu and tap along as each line starts.

How do I get my video on Vevo?

Turn on Vevo master in Hit the grid and save. Vevo only accepts videos through a distributor or label, who will also need the video's ISRC, credits and the rights to everything in it.

How do I use a Spotify Canvas?

Choose Canvas Loop in Hit the grid, add your cover and save. Then upload it to your song in Spotify for Artists.

A long 4K video is taking a while.

Keep GEEKED OUT open until it finishes. For long videos, plug in your iPhone.

How do I restore Pro on a new iPhone?

GEEKED OUT → Settings → Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account.

How do I cancel my subscription?

iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → GEEKED OUT → Cancel Subscription.
